The HP Color LaserJet 3700 was introduced in Europe in December 2003 and North America in February 2004 with a print speed of 16 pages per minute (ppm) in both color and monochrome and a monthly duty cycle of 55,000 pages.
The 3700 shares its 6,000 page yield black cartridge with HP's 3500 and 3550 models, but has its own unique color cartridge SKUs that also yield 6,000 pages (the 3500/3550 color cartridges are OEM-rated at 4,000 pages). Cartridges are chipped, and use a chemical toner similar to that in the HP 4600 and 5500 printers.
All of Static Control’s replacement HP 3500 components (with the exception of cyan, magenta and yellow toner cartridge chips) are qualified for use in the 3700 model.
